Simona Petrescu: Assessing Speaking and Writing Skills for Cambridge English Business Qualifications (B2/C1 Level)
Assessing Speaking and Writing Skills for Cambridge English Business Qualifications (two-part workshop) The workshop aims to familiarise participants with the assessment criteria for speaking and writing in the Cambridge English Business Qualifications at CEFR levels B2 and C1. A three-step procedure will be used in both seminar sections, dealing in turn with Writing and with Speaking: participants will be guided to an in-depth understanding of the criteria, they will match descriptors to actual candidate performance, and will have the opportunity for assessment practice. Teaching tips and activities to build the necessary communication skills will be shared. The participating teachers will gain a more solid grasp of writing and speaking competences and performance levels relevant for their Business English courses, whether or not they are focused on Cambridge exam preparation.
