Talk Business and Make an Impact with Robert Kirstein

From small talk to talking shop – being confident, impactful and simply getting things right when communicating in business is no small feat even for intermediate to advanced learners of English. Delta Publishing’s new modular Business English course, Business Impact, is packed with engaging topics, providing non-stop “food for talk” and serious discussion, whilst at the same time powering up learners’ language skills. In this workshop we’ll be looking at ways in which you can help your in-company learners to make a greater impact in business – by speaking better English. Come along and be inspired!

Biodata:

Born in 1977, Robert studied at Potsdam University (English, Political Science and Economy) and did his Master’s during a research stay in Canada in 2004/5 (writing on English varieties spoken in the Ottawa Valley). Apart from travelling and enjoying weekends at the Baltic Sea, his passion is everything to do with language, its history, variation and change. Robert’s been teaching linguistics classes (English and German) at university, teacher-training courses (“Quer- und Seiteneinstieg ins Lehramt”) as well as classes in English and business English at VHS and various companies in the Berlin-Brandenburg area. For the last 15 years, Robert’s contributed to numerous course books, teaching materials and newsletters at Ernst Klett Sprachen Verlag and has given many webinars and workshops on various aspects of teaching and learning English.
