Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Time-Saving Tips for Busy Teachers with Laura Edwards
Achieving both efficiency and effectiveness is a challenge for many teachers, especially freelancers who are often not compensated for planning time. Technology can help, but managing resources can quickly become overwhelming. In this interactive online session, we’ll explore strategies to streamline your teaching and make better use of the time and materials you already have.
Using the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” mantra, you’ll discover how to:
– Reduce time spent searching for materials,
– Reuse your favourite resources more effectively, and
– Recycle student contributions for future lessons.
We will consider three key areas:
1. Getting organised: Creating digital filing systems and lesson plans.
2. Creating materials: Adapting texts, finding images, recording audio.
3. Building a content library: Curating student-generated content.
Rather than focusing on specific tools, this webinar will help you reflect on your current habits and identify your biggest time-wasters. You’ll leave with clear ideas for where to start, and a simple plan for applying new, more efficent approaches to your teaching.
