The world of business English is intrinsically linked to effective communication across diverse national cultures. Mastering this skill is vital for anyone involved in international business. In this dynamic workshop, participants will delve into the realm of intercultural training through engaging and practical activities that they can later implement with their clients/students.
Participants will engage in interactive exercises that replicate real-world intercultural scenarios, offering a safe environment to practice and reflect on their experiences. These activities are designed to enhance cultural awareness, sensitivity and adaptability that are crucial competencies in today’s globalized business environment.
The workshop will focus on several key areas in intercultural training. Initially, participants will explore techniques for breaking the ice, which are essential for establishing a comfortable atmosphere in any intercultural setting. Following this, the workshop will cover team-building strategies that foster collaboration and mutual understanding among diverse groups. Finally, reflective practices will be introduced, allowing participants to consider their experiences critically and identify areas for personal and professional growth.
Throughout the session, participants will gain insights into their own cultural biases and learn effective strategies to overcome them. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with useful tools to enhance their own and their students´/clients´ intercultural skills. Biodata:
Ridha Mejri, raised in a bilingual Arabic-French environment, is a Business Communication & Intercultural Management lecturer at Worms University, Germany. With experience as a trainer and consultant, he conducts seminars and workshops for executives and expats to enhance their intercultural skills and management competence. He has lived, studied and worked in several countries.
